丁南庆，南京大学教授、博士生导师。主要从事同调代数等领域研究工作。在Adv. Math., J. Algebra, J Pure Appl. Algebra 等国际著名数学期刊发表论文10余篇。现为SCI期刊《Algebra Colloquium》编委。主持国家级科研项目10余项。曾获教育部优秀青年教师奖，教育部自然科学二等奖，霍英东青年教师奖等。
报告摘要：
The concepts of envelopes and covers of modules have played an important role in the theory of modules and rings and have a great impact on homological algebra, representation theory and commutative algebra. This presentation gives a brief history of the development of envelopes and covers of modules. Some recent progress on this subject will be reviewed and some open problems will be discussed.
